John Rinella for local Councillor
Centre Ward deserves a councillor who cares

Taxpayers need break.
I support a short term, two-year property tax freeze. Thereafter, property taxes should never rise more than the rate of inflation.
I will work with the new mayor to find efficiencies and ways to better provide services.
As your local councillor, I will make certain there are no more million dollar doors, or $4,000 refrigerators.
Taxpayers deserve respect.
We can freeze property taxes without layoffs or reductions in service.

Community safety is a priority for residents of Centre Ward.
The recent onset of people experiencing homelessness has created friction in our downtown neighborhoods.
I will work with the DRPS, social service agencies and local businesses.

We are the cultural centre of Whitby. I will work with the new Mayor to restore the cuts to the Library and the Station Gallery.
I will also fight to restore the Summer student jobs cut in the last budget.
Seniors need more robust programming.
The Whitby GO station proposal has too much density and doesn’t fit our heritage downtown.
